April 2, 2006- The first Long Course meet of the year went very well with Amanda McCormack setting a new 10 & Under club record in the 50M Backstroke. The three meet stars are Siobhain Hall, Allie Duff and Michael Watkins. Congratulations all!

April 4, 2006-  A message from our Meet-Manager.
Greetings EBSC swimmers
Congratulations to everyone who participated in our April Sprint Meet last Saturday, April 1. It was a long, hot day at the pool for the swimmers and officials. I hope you all enjoyed yourselves, I noticed many improved times and not very many DQs. I have attached a brief summary of the meet to this email (PDF file.)
Thanks to the parents who stepped forward to fill the officials positions for the meet. It takes a lot of people to pull off a swim meet and, all in all, this one went quite smoothly. It was fun to see the Junior Barracuda swimmers participating in the novice events. Some ofthem were quite nervous beforehand and very excited after their swims. I am sure we will see some of them back as Gold level swimmers next year.
The following individuals deserve special thanks for their assistance preparing for the meet:
Steve Blostein (our Hy-Tek operator, he was there all day despite it being his birthday!)
Carolyn Baker organized all the officials for the meet.
Tom Dunn and Brad Coens were our refs for the day. Great job Brad, it was Brad's first experience as a referee and he did a wonderful job.
Jan Watkins organized and gathered all the food and refreshments for the meet. We have a great reputation for the quality and variety of food
provided at our meets and once again it was superb.
Tracy Hall staffed the equipment table, selling heat sheets and swim gear in addition to organizing the bell  prizes.
Pat Whalen-Browne prepared and produced the heat sheets.
Thanks to everyone that has assisted me in the organization and operation of the EBSC meets over the past 4 years. This was my last meet as meet manager, Bill Duff has volunteered to take over the organization of our meets for next year. I may no longer be meet manager but I will see you at the pool as I will be involved at our swim meets for several more years.
Clive Morgan
EBSC Meet Manager

April 24, 2006- I have some results from the Division II meet. I understand that it came right down to the wire on whether or not we were bumped down to Division III. Congratulations on a fine effort in squeezing out those last few points needed to remain in the Division II category.  These swimmers finished first- Jess Craig (2) &  Amanda McCormack, second place finishers were Jess Craig, Amanda McCormack and Kelly Cook and third places went to Amanda McCormack (2), Miriam Franchetto and Geoff Welham.
The purpose of Team Champs is for the team to accumulate as many points as possible. The top eight in each event scored-  9 for 1st place 7 for 2nd place and 6,5,4,3,2 & 1 points for the next places up to eight. Relays score double points. These swimmers scored individual  points . The Boy 13/14 & Girls 11/12 Relays also scored much needed points.
