Gord
Emmerson has been head
coach of the Ernestown Barracuda
Swim
Club for 20 plus years. Gord is a Level II certified coach
and is
working on his Level III. His swimmers have excelled setting 11
Provincial Records, 1 Canadian Record and been members of 5 Ontario
Tour Teams and 8 Canadian National Teams. Under his guidance the club
has grown from a small AAAA level club to a A level club and is now a
thriving 77 member Division II club.
Gord enjoys wind surfing in
his limited spare time as well as doing
home renovations. |

Trish
Hawkes is
starting her second year with
the Barracuda coaching staff. Trish has coached for 5 years,
for both the Kingston Sharks Swim Club and the Kingston Aquatic Swim
Club and is completing her Level 1 Coaching. Trish has a BA from
Laurentian U and her ECE diploma from Fanshaw College. Trish swam with
the Kingston Blue Marlins for 12 years and is still involved as a
competitive swimmer with the O'Henry's on the base. |

Angela
Bromfield is
returning to
the
coaching staff this year after taking a year off from coaching. Angela
swam with the Barracudas for several
years competing at the provincial level and
has returned to coach the younger swimmers.
Angela
completed a degree from
Queen's University in Physical Education
and Biology and completed
Teacher's
College in Kingston. |

Melissa
McNichols is returning
for her third year as a Junior
Coach. She was a member
of the Barracudas
for nine years competing at the provincial level and still holds 4
top ten times in the club. Unfortunately a shoulder injury forced
Melissa to give up the sport she loved. |

Andras
Switzer: This
is Andras’ first year coaching the EBSC Junior Team. He is a
Gr. 12 student at Frontenac Secondary School. This is his seventh year
swimming with the Ernestown Barracudas and his third in the National
training group. He also swims with the Frontenac Falcons Swim
Team. In addition to school and training, Andras works as a lifeguard
and instructor at Henderson Pool. Next year he plans to study
kinesiology at university. |

Kristina
Birkis
returning for her second year as a Junior coach. She was a member of
the Barracudas for nine years and has been working as a lifeguard and
instructor at the Henderson Pool since 2006. She is a Gr. 12
student at Frontenac Secondary School and swims with the Falcons Swim
Team. Kristina has also been very involved in the Limestone
School Board’s outdoor programs and is a certified
wilderness, canoeing and kayaking instructor. |
