Update
from Gord
Veldman
Submitted
Jan
13,2006
Hello
to all EBSC members:
I
am now living in beautiful Victoria
BC. I have retired from swimming and since
July
have been enjoying my time off and the transition to a normal
job/life.
I have been working with Long Term Athlete
Development for Sport Canada. We work
with 32 of the National Sports Organizations, including Swim
Canada.
Our goal is to help create a long term plan
for the development of athletes so that they can achieve great results
from the
playground to the podium. Also I have
been offered coaching positions from various clubs and am strongly
considering
becoming a part of the Island Swimming staff. It would be great to give
back
to, and be involved in, a sport that has been so generous to me for
such a long
time.
Best of luck to all of the EBSC swimmers
and extended family.
Dream Big!

EBSC
ARTICLE
Here
is an
article from a 1990 Swim Tales magazine (click here
for a It was
written by Jean Hudacin (Jeremiah's mother) and
details the progress of the EBSC to that date. It also has a team
photo.
Does Gord look any younger? A couple of other pages from the magazine
are posted here also. One is a page of photos of the 1990
inductees
into the Swim Ontario Hall of Fame, recognize any names? The other is a
list of the Provincial records for age group swimmers. Can you find any
EBSC alumni names there (there are 2, 1 of them held a Canadian Age
